Anbara Salam Khalidi
Anbara Salam Khalidi was a Lebanese feminist, author and translator. In the 1920s she gained publicity for her feminist activism and campaigning for the rights of Arab women in Beirut. Khoury was the first person to translate into Arabic many classical works such as Homer’s the Odyssey.
Translator Tarif Khalidi is the Sheik Zayed Chair in Islamic and Arabic Studies at the American University of Beirut he has translated and authored several books including Images of Muhammad.
