Khalil N. Khalil never planned to become a children’s book author—he just wanted to collect his grandmother’s recipes before they vanished like the last piece of warm bread at family dinner. What started in 2016 with his first cookbook, Before Restaurants, turned into a lifelong mission: to preserve and celebrate the wisdom, flavors, and values of Palestinian life. Through Holy Land Boutique, Khalil connected with families who, like him, treasured tradition and storytelling. These heartfelt conversations inspired him to write children's books that pass down life lessons the way his parents and grandparents did—through story, food, and a whole lot of heart. Each book includes a cultural tale, a traditional recipe, and a space for parents to leave words their children will carry for life. When he’s not writing, Khalil supports elderly care foundations and helps local artisans grow their businesses beyond borders—because culture isn’t just preserved, it’s shared.
