Mohammed Yasser Al-Batniji
Mohammed Yasser Al-Batniji was born in Gaza in 2008. He has always lived in the Gaza Strip. In October 2023, he was fifteen and attending a local school in Shuja’iyya, a suburb of Gaza City, where his family lived. Since then, he and his family have been displaced numerous times within Gaza. In 2025, he completed his final school exams, achieving excellent grades. He is now studying computer engineering at university while also working on his second book. His poetry has been published in the Morning Star, SWERVE magazine (Ireland), Culture Matters and Militant Thistles.
