Nora Barrows-Friedman

Nora Barrows-Friedman is a journalist, editor, radio broadcaster, musician, and mother. She received her B.A. in Humanities with a focus on Palestine from the New College of California in San Francisco. She is the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Media Freedom Award from the Media Freedom Foundation. Nora is currently an associate editor of The Electronic Intifada, an award-winning, independent online publication focusing on Palestine and Palestinian rights. At EI, she produces the weekly audio podcast, contributes investigative stories, and blogs about student activism, the Palestinian-led boycott, divestment and sanctions movement, and the violations of the rights of Palestinian youth under Israel’s occupation.
